    Idaho Moose
by Dale E. Toweill & Elizabeth Laden

Where are the moose in Idaho? Is their population growing? Are they dangerous? And what about albino moose? Dale E. Toweill, statewide moose manager for the Idaho Fish and Game Department, and Elizabeth Laden, Island Park resident and admirer of moose, tell the story of Idaho’s moose: the facts, the folklore, and the fun.

    Fort Hall—Spotlight City
    by Lori Edmo-Suppah

Established by Nathaniel Wyeth in 1834 as a post for supplies he failed to sell at a rendezvous, Fort Hall became part of the Fort Hall Indian Reservation, home to displaced bands of the Shoshone and Bannock Tribes. Although the reservation today, at 544,000 acres, is less than one-third its original size, the future of Fort Hall belongs to its people.

    Idaho’s ‘Indiana Jones’
    by Margo Aragon

Dr. Lee Sappington can’t let bygones be bygones. He’s always digging up bones, bringing up the past. His work is unsettling. He is an archeologist, and he is passionate about what he does. He has a sixth sense about where to dig for buried treasure—revealing clues to our past and how it relates to our culture, and our understanding of who we are today.
