Northern Idaho

1/24-2/1 North Idaho Boat Show:  Tobler Marina, Hayden

1     Elk River Ice Fishing Derby: 8 AM -3 PM, Elk River

1     Moscow Winter Market: 1912 Center, Moscow

1     George Hill Memorial Snowshoe Volleyball Tournament: Enjoy a fun game filled day with championship games. Hill’s Resort, Priest Lake

1     Library on the Go: Outfitted with hundreds of books, our Library On the Go connects readers of all ages to materials they will enjoy or need. 12:30 – 2 PM, Hereth Park, Lewiston

1     Winterfest-Outhouse Races: Sponsored by Spirit Lake Park & Recreation. FREE for spectators. 11 AM – 3 PM on 4th St., Coeur d’Alene  

1–2       U. S. Pacific Coast Championship Sled Dog Races: Priest Lake

5     Wiggles & Giggles: Stories, songs, and dance will be the highlight of the day for kiddos and their caregivers. This is a sensory friendly story time. 11 AM – Noon, City Library, Lewiston

8     Chocolate Affair: Tasting Event & Competition. 2 – 6 PM, downtown Coeur d’Alene

12   Well~Read Morning Book Club: Free. 10 – 11:30 AM, Well-Read Moose, Coeur d’Alene

14-16 Pierce Winter Festival: This festival features a Snow sculpture contest, the Ice Man Relay (a combination of snowshoeing, sledding and running, then diving into the icy creek in town.) Not for the faint of heart, for sure!  There will be sledding with the Mayor, a community breakfast, and other events  Pierce.

14-23    Sandpoint Winter Carnival: Our town’s “antidote to cabin fever” includes piles of live music, festivals and events for kids and adults all around the downtown; major happenings up on Schweitzer including the “Let it Glow” fireworks show; sleigh and wagon rides at Western Pleasure Guest Ranch, and more. Sandpoint

16   Winter Faculty Recital Tea Time Serenade: This is an opportunity to listen together to the warmth of classical music within Little Carnegie. Featuring the extraordinary talent of Music Conservatory faculty. All proceeds benefit the youth of our community who wish to learn to sing or play an instrument. Tickets $25 Adults, $10 Students. 2 – 3:30 PM, 110 Main Street, Sandpoint

19   Story Time: 10:30 – 11:30 AM, Boundary County Library, Bonners Ferry

19-21 “Safety Fest of the Great Northwest”: FREE training over (3) days dedicated to making this region a safe place to work & live. Safety & health classes, demonstrations, workshops, & certifications are offered to the public. NIC Workforce Training Center, Post Falls

22   Kootenai County Farmers Market: 10 AM – 3 PM, Kootenai County Fairgrounds, Coeur d’Alene

28   S’Mores by the Shores: The shoreline comes alive with the warmth and wonder of S’mores by the Shores on Whisper’s Patio! Gather around our lakeside fire pits, bask in magical views of the Holiday Light Show, and indulge in a nostalgic treat under the stars. 6-27      Kid’s Fix-It Night: THURSDAYS. Teens and kids can bring their bikes to BBP between 6 – 7 PM to work hands on with our team of volunteer mechanics to repair or maintain their bicycle free of charge! Everyone welcome. Boise Bicycle Project, 1027 S. Lusk St., Boise
