In Praise of Watery Nature

Story and Photos by Melody McKinney

As a dedicated traveler, I’ve enjoyed the views from Missouri to Illinois to Colorado, among many other states, but I’ve never fallen more in love with Nature’s scenery than at Post Falls. Surrounded here by trees and snow-covered mountains that extend ten to twenty miles in each direction beside a clear-running river, where the days begin and end in the most beautiful pink- and orange-colored skies and the clouds hide the sun just enough for perfect lighting, Post Falls stole my heart faster than a cool breeze carrying leaves across a park.
