Fiction Contest Winners
The winners have been announced of IDAHO magazine’s 2024 Fiction Contest, sponsored by Rediscovered Books.

First place winner this year was Eric E. Wallace for “The Resting Place.”
Second place was a tie between Bruce Bash for “Cave Spirit” and Les Tanner for “The Neatest Play I Ever Saw.”
Fourth place was awarded to Les Tanner for “His Song.”
Honorable mentions went to Mark Ready for “Miss Home Canning of 1942” and Dorita Hoff and Ray Brooks for “The Dozing Beets.”
Judge’s Choice awards for the favorite story of each of the four judges, went to: Eric E. Wallace for “Resting Place,” two to Les Tanner for “The Neatest Play I Ever Saw and for “Are Cell Phones Worth the Trouble?” and Dorita Hoff and Ray Brooks for “The Dozing of the Beets.”
